The Fastest Indian Pulsar with cosmetic upgrade

PulsarF1

Mr. Rajiv Bajaj said that they will be launching the Pulsar 220 soon. Bajaj Auto has come up with new upgraded bike Pulsar with new colors scheme and graphics. Pulsar now feature dual tone paint, to make the Pulsar distinguishable from the populated Pulsar motorcycles on the road. The front fairing, handlebars and grab rails are now completely black, while the gearbox cover is in silver colour. The silver treatment from the gearbox has been extended to the foot pegs as well.

In July 2007, Bajaj began selling the Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi and Pulsar 200 DTS-i, the former featuring fuel injection and oil cooled engines, a digital dash, and modern styling. This bike has some features which are totally new to the Indian market, like the fuel injection itself, rear disc brake and clip-on handlebars (the first two only available in the 220 model). Bajaj launched a carbureted version of Pulsar 220 on June 2009, tagging it as “the fastest bike in India”. Bajaj has been famous for developing new technology and upgrading the bike every year.

But neither this year Bajaj has failed to provide any technical upgrade nor it has changed it looks. It is

very disappointing that people were expecting completely new pulsar with full fairing, liquid cooling and a 250cc engine, but Bajaj has done only cosmetic upgrade which is pretty new to the customers. Hero Honda is famous for its cosmetic upgrade. Is this a setback for Bajaj?

This cosmetic upgrade may just be a hint that Bajaj plans to finish its current stock of the Pulsars by creating some buzz with this face lift. It may just be an introduction of the new generation Pulsars.
