Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Launched – What You Can Do With it?

Triumph India today announced that the big and might Tiger Explorer XCx would be landing in India via CBU route at a price of ?18.75 lacs ex-showroom. Triumph has decided to make just the Tiger Explorer XCx variant available and not the full range and only 20 units across India would be sold.

The explorer series comes with a Liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder, 1215 cc engine which produces a peak power of 137 PS @9,300 rpm and pumps 121 Nm torque @6,400 rpm.

All of these numbers and figures just something on the spec sheet. What is more important is what you can do with this motorcycle?

To answer this here is a short video what this motorcycle is capable of:

It is the ultimate transcontinental adventure motorcycle

With more power and torque than before, it is also integrated with a ‘Triumph semi active suspension’ (TSAS) that delivers class leading stability and control. this not just helps you to take corners correctly but safely.

The new Tiger Explorer now comes equipped with Nissin calipers with corner optimized ABS and traction control.

The most important thing that you would want in such a huge motorcycle is the hill hold control that allows you to stop and go in various circumstances.

To make your ride comfortable Triumph has also put together heated seats and heated grips and electrically adjustable screen.

With this launch, now the Indian buyers also have an option to chose between the BMW R1200 GS, Ducati Multistrada 1200, Honda Africa Twin and Now the Triumph Tiger Explorer.

This motorcycle cannot be your first motorcycle or your daily motorcycle. With its weight around and a huge tank on top, it might need a lot of articulation to master the motorcycle on the traffic roads. but when on the highways or even the Badlands it would bring a smile to your face just like a young kid who gets a favorite chocolate when he does something well.
