2011 Indian F1 track design
Here is a glimpse of the track at which India is set to host its first F1 Grand Prix in 2011.
The circuit will be situated at the Jaypee Greens Sports City. The track would be a short one – slightly under 5km (3.1 miles).
The circuit is being built by JP Associates which is part of a large industrial multinational called the Jaypee Group. It’s situated alongside the Yamuna Expressway, a new road being built to connect India’s capital New Delhi with the country’s biggest tourist destination, the Taj Mahal, in the city of Agra.
At the moment there are only 2 other racing standard race tracks, Madras Motor Sports Club at Sribrumbudur and Kari Motor Speedway at Coimbatore.
